Rwanda Social Service and Family Counseling was established in 2002 as a non-profit, community based social service organization. Its primary mission is to address and attend to the growing needs and concerns of the Rwandan community in Ottawa and other immigrant who would need to use our services Since its inception, the organization has provided culturally and linguistically appropriate support services to members community.
This Mission is accomplished through direct social service, partnership and advocacy.
A shared philosophy by all members is that, the success of the community and building its capacity to deal with issues depends to a large extent on how well it takes care of its needs and each other with dignity, Respect, and compassion.”

RSSFC dedicated to provide a wide variety of social services and assistance programs to members of the Rwandan community in Ottawa. The services provided by RSSFC OF Ottawa are designed to support Rwandan refugees and immigrants during the difficult, complex, and stressful process of acculturation. The organization aims to build self-sufficiency and decrease dependence on public assistance among Rwandan in Ottawa. It seeks to encourage and empower disenfranchised members of the Rwandan community to become socially and economically stable and to help them become well adjusted, responsible, and contributing members of our society.
